“Salvation from sin is found only through faith in Jesus Christ, His death on the cross, and His resurrection.”
John the Baptist was a radical man with a radical message; you must repent and be baptised. John was imprisoned by Herod and eventually killed. But he is alive forever in heaven with the Lord. The message is still the same for people today. “Repent and be baptised, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.”
Since ancient times, the church has considered the teaching of the Trinity to be so important that any group which rejects the teaching of the Trinity is considered to have departed from true Christianity. This is stated in creeds accepted by the three major branches of Christianity, Protestant, Orthodox, and Catholic.
God created man in his image to reflect his glory as the moon reflects the sun. But sin breaks the image of God in man. Through Jesus God is restoring his image in us.
Jesus offers salvation to all who will confess their sins and trust him. But He is the only way to salvation.
As we follow Jesus and trust in Him, we become like Him and the image of God becomes more visible in our lives.
We need to know the truth of His Word and receive help from the Holy Spirit to test the spirit, because there are many lies in the world.
Whatever the place you are in spiritually, if you seek the Lord with all your heart, you will find Him. If we want to see His glory, it is in Jesus where God reveals it to us.
God loves us so much that He disciplines us to save us pain. Although He does not force us to obey, it is best to trust and obey Him. And if we do wander away, to turn back to Him and let go of things that are holding us.
He is a Trinity God, One God in Three Persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Many things of God including trinity is beyond our understanding, so, regardless of how much evidence God gives us, a step of faith is always required.
The filling of the Holy Spirit is available to all, but our hearts and lives are so full of the things of this world that we don’t leave room for the Holy Spirit. Let’s turn away from the things of this world, and let’s seek the Lord and draw near to Him.
